Healing the Wound of Separation, September 9, 2011
Is everybody comfortable? Pretty comfortable, bodily relaxed? No distraction, no strong thoughts, just nice clear relaxation? Your mind is not gripping you anymore. Where’s your mind? Where’s that knot that haunts you all day? That thing that keeps on telling you you’re you? Where is that?
It’s like putting ice on a fever; the transmission of Bliss here is like putting ice on the fever of your individuality, on the laceration of your separation. It’s disinfecting that wound. Notice how incredible this balm of healing is on this thing we call the separatized self, the separate mental self. How there’s just Samadhi here, just Samadhi.
Everybody’s ok? Everybody’s fine? I know I disturb your meditation when I ask you that. Very good. Where are you? You’re going away on us. Very good. That’s what I’m talking about. You see how that will dissolve your entire sense of solidity; it will just drink you up. It will be just pure Being.
David: In a sense my teaching is always flawed. Why do I keep teaching? Why do I keep coming out? Because I never can hit the target completely. Because we are all the same arrow and until there is this universalized perception among all of us, ...
David: Yeah. Participant: David, I have a question. David: Oh good, I'm so happy. Participant: Um, I have read about "I Am That" from Vedas and J. Krishamurti and UG and Nisargadatta Maharaj. David: No not UG, UG would never say that. ...
You know, you can't think your way into the Divine. You can't get there through strategy. Strategy is inherently dishonest. You can't make a deal with the Divine to become it. The whole idea is: all deals are off. All deals are off and what you ...
David: I'd like to see you have something. I'd like to see something really go off in you whereby, you know, you are really taken by your own divine self, that has no dilemma in it and that is very clearly understood and realized, in just a ...
David: You may go through many amazing experiences in the meantime. You may go through repeated openings of a most magnificent kind - you know, the things you read about in the lives of saints and sages; oneness opening up and timelessness, ...
There are two kinds of devotion. One is like a monkey, monkey-devotion, where the little baby grabs the waist of the mother and holds on. And that monkey, that mama, will jump from tree to tree. Once in a while, though, there could be a slip and ...
If you are lucky you’ll begin to realize you are always living in That. Always, not sometimes. You’ll get rid of this idea of always and sometimes and then what’s left over is always. Always does not mean sometimes extended in time; lots of ...
Participant: So the mind can partake of the Bliss of the Awakening and feel satisfaction from that, as long as it's not trying to co-opt the experience, we'll call it an experience. But if it does try to get involved with it, it's going to be ...
Ok, so now we are in a different phase of the teaching. I hope you're with me. We've passed over the place where lions and tigers could eat us. They're gone. We're home free now. Rattlesnakes and cobras, they're history now. Now we're in the ...
But more like a mobius strip made of flesh, you know, we want to feel good inside that area. Its not enough just to be in the shape of a mobius strip, but we are feelingly involved in existence. We feelingly and consciously want to know what ...
Its just easy to offer who you are in the moment. It's very easy to begin that way, no matter what is offered. No matter what the offering is it can be made beautiful because you are consciously cooperating with who you are and no matter what ...
You're already that mobius strip where the inside is on the outside and yet it's all one. Inside and outside, there is a natural continuum going on, all the time. It's not like you become free just when you know the inside. When you know the ...
