David: If you actually know you’re going beyond your mind, you’re going beyond your senses, you’re coming to the core of Consciousness, and you also know that you tend to return back into what seems to be an ignorant state, don’t complain about that. Yes, it’s agony, but everything is agony. Even after you get rid of your illusory “I,” there’s the agony of the world. There’s all the hunger and starvation, the neoliberal injustices that are taking over everything.
There’s the juggernaut of neoliberalism, rapacious in its appetite, killing off everything public and making everything private. The ownership society of George Bush is actually coming to be where there’s no more public space. All public forms of discourse have collapsed. All that exists is the language of profit, profit-making, and the enhancement of fortunes spoken by the almighty corporations, the almighty gods of corporations. So, hey, your personal sense of illusory ego is going to look like a picnic next to this suffering. So, enjoy your limited suffering because later on, you’ll have the worldly suffering to deal with.
You’ll have the energy to deal with it. You will be able to deal with it once you recognize you are this ferocious Consciousness, which eats everything. Then you can begin to even deal on that level with the obstructions in the world as a whole because your mind is not individual anymore. It’s a universal component, indistinguishable from what’s happening all around it, and so, it senses injustice, it senses where people suffer, and it wants that eradicated. It wants to see everything balanced and equalized in fairness and harmony, justice and love. That’s the impulse that you will be functioning in at that point.
